Vodafone in Spain will be offering the Samsung Galaxy Tab for €199. The device is not available yet but is available on pre-order and will most likely be released in the next couple of weeks. It will be interesting to see what price is when it is released in Ireland.
At the moment this price is for an 18 month contract, which I guess will probably be similar to the proposal when it is finally released in Ireland. It comes with a 7-inch Super LCD display (1024×600), 1GHz Hummingbird CPU, Android 2.2 OS, voice calling functionality, 3MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0, Swype text input, 16 or 32GB internal storage, microSD card slot and 4000mAh battery.

The Sony Ericsson Spiro is a small phone that actually comes packed with some really impressive features. We now know that the Galaxy Tab will be available sometime towards the end of October on Vodafone, Meteor and O2. This is Samsung’s first android tablet and comes with some impressive features. The video below will give you a good insight as to what it can do. At the moment there is no pricing available but some reports say that it will be somewhere between €200 and €300 which is significantly less than the iPad. The pricing will really be up to the operators because it’s also a mobile phone device so they may have some offers for signing up for contracts available also.

The Nokia is a new serious 40 6th edition phone that has now been released by the mobile manufacturer. The phone comes with a five megapixel full focus camera which also has support for flash. It suppoprts quad-band GSM, quad-band WCDMA, HSPA and WLAN
Nokia are calling this a touch and type phone because it comes with a combination of a touch screen and a traditional keyboard.
the phone is similar in design to the nokia 6700 classic and the Nokia 6300 but has a more modern design but it still has that familiar look to many people are used to using.
Some other features include Flash Lite 3.0, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and MIDP Java 2.1 with additional Java APIs.

Nokia have been busy releasing a number of new phones the e7 Smart phone looks very similar to their new flagship handset the Nokia n8 and comes packed with some impressive features.
It comes with a 4 inch screen which features a AMOLED display it also has GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900, WCDMA 850/900/1700/1900/2100, with auto-switching from GSM to WDCMA, 8 megapixel camera with duel LED flash 720p video, face recognition and secondary video camera.
Connectivity wise it also comes with HDMI, Bluetooth 3.0, high speed USB 2.0, FM radio with RDS, 3.5mm AV connector, integrated GPS with A-GPS, WiFi positioning, accelerometer, Nokia Ovi Suite.
Nokia maps also comes installed and can be used in your car or simply as a pedestrian. With 16 GB of internal memory that should give you enough storage space for photographs and video. It unfortunately doesn’t come with microSD expansion which is something I have been wondering why they have left this out.

Windows phone 7 looks like a fantastic operating system from Microsoft. It has one or two frustrating things that many people seem to be coming across. For example if you are looking to sync outlook to check e-mail it does not come as a standard feature because the phone has been setup to connect to Zune so you can sync music/video/pictures/podcasts etc. the good news is that the video below will show you exactly how to do this.
When the reasons they have done this is because Windows phone 7 has only been setup so it can sync with Exchange ActiveSync which unfortunately means that you must have an exchange ActiveSync compatible e-mail account. The good news is there is a free way to do this so if you are looking to figure out how this can be done simply check out the video below.

This week Nokia world has been taking place and with this many users are getting to test new products that Nokia are expected to release very soon. In this video you get a quick glimpse of the Nokia E7 QWERTY keyboard working. Samsung has introduced a new generation of mobile phones and the first one to hit the market is called in the Samsung Xcover 271. One of the major features of this particular phone is that it is shock, dust and water resistant. It has been tested in 1 m deep water for up to 30 minutes and surprisingly still worked.
It comes with some nice features 2-inch display, GPS, Google Maps support, digital compass, pedometer, FM Radio, loudspeaker, large keypad, music player, 30MB internal memory, microSD card slot and talk time of up to 19 hours (2G) or up to 7 hours (3G).
So far we believe that this will be available in some countries in Europe within the next couple of weeks I’m selling for around €180.

LG have announced the release of a new phone called the LG Optimus One. The phone uses the android operating system and comes with a 600MHz CPU, 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touch screen, WiFi, GPS and support GS Quadband / HSDPA 3G wireless connection.
One really nice feature is that it comes with a long lasting 1500mAh battery which should benefit many users. It’s been designed for ease of use some application around menu systems should be very simple for most people. According to LG “a team of R&D experts at LG incorporated and optimized the device for the Froyo platform and Google Mobile Services. What transpired is a smartphone that blends superb design and with ease of use, making it the perfect entry point for prospective smartphone owners.”

It’s expected that some som will announce the Galaxy Tab this Thursday. Details and information is a little bit sketchy at the moment but it’s been rumored to be heading to AT&T ans Sprint in the US. We have no relation as to when and if this will become available in Europe and specifications are also quite sketchy also. Hopefully we’ll have more information later and weak.

We have seen over the past couple of years the quality of video improving on phones dramatically. The video below was taken with the Nokia N8 in 720p HD video quality. Although it was edited off-line and with added music added you can see the quality that the phone is able to produce. Here’s a quick look at the Sony Ericsson X8 Android-based Xperia handset. The phone comes with 3 inch screen which is touch sensitive. The only thing we have so far is that it comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera and also features a 3.5 mm jack. The phone which runs on the android 1.6 operating system is expected to be available sometime in October for around €200.
