Sony Ericsson X10 Xperia

The Sony Ericsson X10 Xperia is there first android phone. It’s a really interesting phone first of all not just because it is Sony Ericsson’s first android phone that they have released into the market it also has a nice design it’s a little covered on the side which makes it a simple design but very pleasant to hold in the hand.

On the front of the phone there are three simple controls the android menu button, home button and the back button. It has a 4 inch display which is bigger than the iPhone on most other torchscreen handsets available.

It’s also come with a 3.5mm headphone jack which is great to see that Sony Ericsson are not using any of the proprietary headsets anymore and are starting to standardize across the board.

Sony Ericsson Spiro Stealth

The Sony Ericsson Spiro Stealth is a stylish slider phone that comes with some nice specifications to boost.

The reasonably priced phone is aimed at music and social networking. It has applications built-in for easy access to Facebook and twitter and has a nice little feature built into some SMS where all messages are easy to read using conversation bubbles.

This is a Walkman handset sold as you would expect: a nice features like Playnow, TrackID and also has a 3.5mm headphone jack. You can check out full specifications here.

Overall this particular handset is aimed at the budget market and comes in a number of different colors

Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY – Guerilla Bob Game

Guerilla Bob has been developed by Angry Mob Games and you can see it being played on the new Sony Ericsson Xperia Play by simply using the touch pad. You can look at the video below which will give you an indication as to what it looks like when it is being played.

O2 to get the Xperia Play in White

There are a number of mobile carriers that will have the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play when it’s released in March. It’s now been announced that O2 are going have a white version of this once released.

The phone comes with a slid-out gaming controller and had the standard buttons that you would find on a playstation controller.

It’s comes with some nice specs

4-inch touchscreen
capacitive multi-touch screen
5-megapixel camera – as well as a front facing VGA one
3-axis accelerometer

Sony Ericsson Xperia X12

Pictures for the new Sony Ericsson Xperia X12 have started to appear in various places on the Internet. These of course are unofficial pictures and we believe it will be holding a modified version of the android 2.1 operating system.

Apparently it will have a 4.3 inch touchscreen display, a HDMI-out port and HD video recording capabilities. We don’t think this will hit the market until the first quarter of 2011.

The Sony Ericsson Spiro is a small phone that actually comes packed with some really impressive features. It comes with a QVGA display, 2MP camera, microSDHC card slot, stereo Bluetooth, and organizer. It’s really aimed at the low end market and is a nice music slider phone. Sony Ericsson Xperia X8

Here’s a quick look at the Sony Ericsson X8 Android-based Xperia handset. The phone comes with 3 inch screen which is touch sensitive. The only thing we have so far is that it comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera and also features a 3.5 mm jack. The phone which runs on the android 1.6 operating system is expected to be available sometime in October for around €200.

Sony Ericsson Teacake

Apparently Sony Ericsson are releasing a new Android phone called the W150i or codenamed the “Teacake”. Pictures have first emerged on a Chinese forum which claims that this is Sony Ericsson’s latest phone that they are working on.

There are unconfirmed reports that it will come with a 2.6 inch QVGA display, five megapixel camera and you’ll also be able to change covers. It’s possible that the foam will be officially announced before the end of the month.

Android 2.1 for Sony Ericsson Xperia X10

Sony Ericsson have officially announced that they will be rolling out the Android 2.1 upgrade for the X10 in Q4 of this year. At the moment it is not known whether they will actually launch version 2.2 Froyo, which is expected to be announced later in May.

It’s expected that both the Xperia X10 mini and Xperia X10 mini pro will get the upgrade to the new 2.1 software in Q4 also.

The advantages that this new upgrade will give to users is:

Wireless home connectivity via DLNA
Improvements to signature applications Timescape™ and Mediascape to make them even smarter and richer

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Video Demo

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is the first Sony Ericsson phone to come with the Android operating system. It also comes packed with some really high end features including a 1GHz Snapdagon processor, 4-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 480×854 pixels and an 8.1-megapixel camera with autofocus.

As well as all the technical specifications, it also has some nice applications and software features that are very impressive. You can see individual below a quick demonstration of how easy it is to navigate around the menu systems and some of the various applications that are now available. It uses something that they are calling UX which is used to combine various entertainment and social media features.
