Sagem Cosyphone for elderly

Posted on February 16, 2010 by ColmNo Comments

The Sagem Cosyphone has been specifically designed for the older generation. One of the main features it comes with is NFC or Near Field Communications technology this allows a user to access some of the phones features without having to scroll through menus.

Apparently you can easily create shortcuts cards that somehow our associate with your contacts. By simply waving the handset over these shortcutcards you can make phone calls to that particular contact.

So far we don’t have much more information on this or how this technology works or when this is expected to launch.

“Everything about the Cosyphone is centered around comfort and simplicity, from the shape, weight and display of the device to the user interface and charger cradle. We have integrated the latest NFC technology to enable users to customize how they access the features they require from a mobile device. Despite such a wide variety of devices on the market, with an aging population in Europe there is an opportunity for a simple, effective connected lifestyle device which makes life easier. Cosyphone fills this gap in the market,” said Thierry Buffenoir, CEO, Sagem Wireless.

Sagem My401X

Posted on August 30, 2006 by ColmNo Comments

sagem my401This phone has been around a few months at this stage but if your thinking of buying one from Meteor you should be able to pick one up for under €90 with some call credit. If you want a mobile phone to make calls, send messages and use a Bluetooth headset with, then the my401x could be just perfect. Things to watch out for are the diminutive internal memory, 0.3-megapixel camera and poor-quality screen, which will frustrate you. If you’re looking for an MP3 player or digital camera this may not be the phone for you.

* Slim & lightweight design
* Built-in digital camera
* Video player
* Polyphonic & Hi-Fi ringtones
* Tri-band
* Java games
* Bluetooth connectivity
* Bluetooth headset included
* Up To 320 minutes Battery Talktime
* Up To 300 hours Battery Standby Time
