Nokia E71 expected this week

We’ve been expecting the Nokia E71 for a while now and according to a report by Reuters it’s expected to be officially announced this week (maybe at Nokia Connection 2008 in Singapore).

The E71 is only 10 mm thickness and is will be the slimmest business messaging device from Nokia. It comes with GPS, 3.2 megapixel camera, WiFi and Bluetooth.

Nokia 1508 due later this year

Nokia have just announced the Nokia 1508 which is aimed at the budget market. The 1508 is a slim, lightweight candy bar design, along with easy keypad dialing, integrated stereo FM and high-speed data connectivity to the internet via cable.

It’s comes with the other standard features that you would expect from Nokia text messaging, built-in speakerphone, voice recording and phonebook for your contacts.

The phone is expected sometime in Q3 2008

The Nokia 7610 Supernova comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera, GSM Quadband. The fashion phone design will make this a must have but one thing to note the spec is high compared to other fashion phones from Nokia.

The Nokia 7310 Classic will come with a 3.2 megapixel camera, 16 million colour 240 x 320 pixel large display, stereo FM radio, microSD card slot and stereo Bluetooth, according to preliminary information. Thats as much information as we have on this at the moment

Nokia Maps 2.0 is now Available

Over 240,000 people have downloaded Nokia Maps since February which is interesting reading and gives a real indication for the future of Mobile GPS. With this Nokia have now released version 2.0 which has improved its optional Car Navigation, enhanced its pedestrian navigation, added multimedia city guides, now offers satellite images, and is sporting a redesigned user interface.

Vista on your S60 Nokia

Are you looking for a new interface for your Nokia S60 phone, well then you might want to checkout RealVista Desktop Mobile. It’s kinda looks like Microsoft’s Vista OS, the application is free and you simply install Flash Lite 2.1.

The applications and phone functions are separated into categories, with each page displaying four icons, meaning it may take a little longer to navigate around your phone

Please note before you upgrade to this the developer is aware of some Nokia N95 and N81 devices that can’t manage to run all apps via these icons, but reckons this is a firmware issue that should be fixable via an upgrade.
