Motorola shows off fuel cell powered phone

motorola.jpgA Canadian firm have somehow integrated a hydrogen fuel cell into a Motorola phone which they claim will allow longer battery life and even better no emissions.

Vancouver-based Angstrom Power said its hydrogen-powered EverOn battery, which has been integrated into Motorola’s SLVR L7 handsets, is more efficient than lithium ion batteries and takes just 10 minutes to charge.

The company conducted a six-month trial of the product using its Micro Hydrogen product, which consists of a fuel cell and hydrogen storage tank, and claims it is now planning to commercialise the technology by 2010.

With the growth in smart phones and always on connectivity this is a solution that will have a positive impact on mobile phones in the next few years.

The Motorola’s iDEN i335

motoideni335.jpgAnother iDEN phone from Motorola this time the i335 - is it real? not really sure. Apparently due out in Q4 of this year guess we have to wait and see to get pricing and some sort of spec.

Motorola iDEN i872

motorola-iden.jpgHere’s a quick look at the Motorola iDEN, they have a number of phones in the range and some pictures are beginning to appear on the Internet. This is the i872 a vanilla clamshell style. We don’t have much on spec at present just that it may have a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth with A2DP, SD slot.

No pricing or anything is available yet.

The New Motorola ROKR E8

motorola-rokr-e8-.jpgAnother new release form Motorola comes the ROKR E8, the phone has no physical keys and is completely smooth.

The Motorola Z10 announced

moto-z10.jpgThe Z8 successor the Motorola Z10 was announced today at CES 2008 in Las Vegas. The mobile comes with some nice features like video editing tools with the ability to overlay text on the 30fps QVGA video you’ve shot and then adding a soundtrack from your device and if need you can then upload it to YouTube.

With stereo speakers to listen to your tunes, 3.2 megapixel Camera, memory is expandable up to 32 GB once that becomes available. Oh and I almost forgot the camera can take 3fps (frames per second) which is nice and quick for a phone..or is this a camera, anyway no word on pricing yet it’s expected to start shipping sometime this quarter 2008.

Motorola Z6m now available in orange hue

orangez6m.jpgNot much to say about this one really, just that Motorola have unveiled a new colour for their Z6m phone. The problem is it’s only available in the Korean market at the moment - will is ever make it’s way to the European market only time will tell.

The phone comes with integrated MP3 player, a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo Bluetooth connectivity, a 2 MP camera, and USB 2.0 connectivity.

Ferrari Motorola Z8 Limited Edition

motorola_z8_ferrari.jpgI’m an F1 fan and would love to get my hands on this (just to show off to my friends). The phone has not yet bee release but as always these things appear in the Internet first just to help the marketing.

The phone is the same spec as the Motorola Z8 but it now comes in a red and black colour layout and a Ferrari logo. When you buy the phone you’ll get pre-registration to the official site of Ferrari, www.ferrariworld.com, a couple of videos from Ferrari, Ferrari wallpapers and ringtones, some online magazine subscriptions and it also comes Bundled with “The Bourne Identity” movie which is a good movie and nothing to do with ferrari.

The MOTO Z8 Ferrari Limited Edition will be available at Ferrari stores and Motorola retailers somewhere around the first quarter of 2008.
