LG Cookie Plus To Ship Next Month

Posted on February 13, 2010 by ColmNo Comments

It was interesting to discover today that LG sold over 10 million LG Cookies worldwide since its launch. Now, we discover that they are now going to launch its successor called the LG Cookie Plus. We believe it is going to incorporate a full touchscreen but has had some major changes in terms of a fun graphical interface to help users when using any of the social networking applications on the phone.

The phone is expected to be rolled out globally to around 45 different countries including Italy and France. It’s expected that it will be available in these countries in early March 2010 so far no pricing has been announced. I’m sure we will hear more information on this at next week’s mobile world congress in Barcelona.

LG to launch two Android phones before April

Posted on February 2, 2010 by ColmNo Comments

It seems as if LG will be launching a couple of android phones on the Verizon network sometime before April. So for LG have launched a number of android phones but these have mainly only been available in the European market. This is their first handsets that they are planning on launching in the United States that run the Android operating system.

I’m sure this is interesting news to all our US friends because LG have a number of really interesting concepts and just seemed to be coming out with more interesting phones of time. We believe that one of the handsets will be a full touchscreen device and the other will come with a full QWERTY keyboard.

Hope your next couple of weeks we’ll find out more information on these particular handsets that they are expecting to launch. With mobile world congress only two weeks away and hopefully have more interesting news in on specifications and pictures should it be available.

LG KS360 Pink

Posted on February 2, 2010 by ColmNo Comments

The LG KS360 comes with a Qwerty keyboard which is ideal for sending text messages or e-mail and is a feature that is becoming very popular on the vast majority of handsets now available.

This is a midrange phone that is definitely full of character because of the combination of colours that it comes in. It is now available on the O2 network for a super price of only €69 (at the time of writing this paper also offering €30 call credit) this is a fantastic price for a phone that comes with a two megapixel camera which incorporates digital zoom a large 2.4 TFT display which offers QVGA resolution.

It also has stereo Bluetooth, FM radio, micro SDmemory card slots. One nice feature a particular like it that it has Threaded SMS. Overall it offers value for money and features that you would expect to find on a phone that would cost a lot more money.

You can find more details over at the O2 website

LG GW520 Review

Posted on September 22, 2009 by Colm1 Comment

The LG GW520 has been available from O2 for couple of weeks. The phone itself features a slide out qwerty keyboard which makes it ideal for e-mail and sending text messages. It comes with a three megapixel camera with digital zoom. Music wise it has an MPEG 4 player and with Bluetooth, 14 MB memory, FM radio, MP3 player its packed full of features.

Overall the phone is a nice sleek looking slider phone as you would expect from LG. The screen on the front of the phone is 2.8 inches which really dominates the front section of the handset. The phone also supports Microsoft exchange ActiveSync which allows users to push e-mail services on the handset. But, this is really for business users.

The LG Cookie Clone

Posted on May 6, 2009 by ColmNo Comments

It’s amazing what you can find out there and I have just come across this image of an LG Cookie, which is actually a clone of the real product. I’m sure the designers at the phone manufacturers are not happy chappies when they see this type of thing.

The actual phone comes with 3? QVGA display, dual-SIM capability, 1.3MP camera and 900/1800MHz GSM connectivity. We believe that the knock off the phone is for sale for about $110 but you would probably actually get to real one for not too much more than this.
