Is this Proof of a 3G iPhone?
Here’s a picture of the latest iPhone beta firmware.
I guess we all know that Apple will at some stage release a 3G version of the iPhone I guess it’s just a case of when.

Will we see a 3G iPhone in the next few months? so far nothing has been confirmed but AT&T (in the US) CEO hints that all of their smart devices will be compatible with 3G in coming months.
The iPhone at present uses EDGE which is is a little slow at time so this news is welcomed I guess the only issue then is what will the price be to move up?
iPhone Now on Sale in Ireland
Finally the iPhone is available in Ireland, after months of waiting and weeks after the announcement the iPhone is now available from Carphone Warehouse and O2 Stores.
I’ve been using one for a couple of days now and it’s really an impressive phone and easy interface to work with.
Apple have Announced iPhone 2.0 Beta
Apple have previewed its iPhone 2.0 software, which will come with some nice added features such as support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync to provide secure, over-the-air push email, contacts and calendars as well as remote wipe, and the addition of Cisco IPsec VPN for encrypted access to private corporate networks.
Today Apple also introduced its new iPhone Developer Program which will give developers everything they need to create native applications, and the new App Store, a breakthrough way for developers to wirelessly deliver their applications to iPhone and iPod touch users.
They plan on releasing the 2.0 software for the iPhone sometime in June and the upgrade will be free for all iPhone customers.
Finally iPhone is on the way
So finally we’ll see the iPhone in Ireland, it will be release on March 14th on the O2 network and for sale from O2 and Carphone Warehouse. I’m sure you know all this already unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for a couple of days - like me
Access your Mac files from your iPhone
The iGet software application from Nakahara will allow you to access your computer files. But, it’s only compatible with Mac’s at the moment.
iGet Mobile software is a personal server application which allows users “to easily and securely access your Mac’s documents and files from your favourite mobile device”, that what they say on the product page.

Lotus Notes on the way for iPhone
It’s looks like Lotus Notes will soon be available for the iPhone, IBM (who own Lotus Notes) look like being the first official iPhone third party application to be available.
“we have a lot in common [with Apple]. We’re going to cross-pollinate.” Said IBM
It’s kind of an interesting development that will give would give the Mac platform a serious competitor to Microsoft Office and, in the case of the iPhone and I guess the iPod touch give it the productivity software all detractors claim currently prohibits it from being a true smartphone.
No formal announcement has been made about this by Apple yet but we await to see what happens.
FREE iPhone Games
Just came across this site it’s called iPhone Nova and they give you unlimited free access to a load of original games, movies and music for your iPhone.

iPhone 1.1.3 firmware now available with wiggles
Not really for us here in Ireland as we still await the iPhone but for other readers the firmware version 1.1.3 adds in a few nice new fun goodies into the iPhone mix. Most notably, the iPhone now comes with maps service which includes a WiFi triangulation, which is like GPS, though less accurate. Providing a general range of where you are located based on WiFi and GSM signals.
They have also made room for more icons, now allowing you to mix and match your main interface icons.
Here are some of the updates so far
* The ability to send an SMS message to multiple people is now there
* Google Maps can now display the Hybrid map view
* You can now drag and drop application icons on your home screen
* The home screen supports pagination
* You can now add web bookmarks to your home screen
