Garmin Asus Garminfone Announced

Posted on April 26, 2010 by adminNo Comments

The new Garmin Asus Garminfone smart phone has been announced Garmin. Over the past while we have seen lots of smart phones with GPS applications and now we are finally seeing a manufacturer of GPS products encroaching into the smart phone territory. Although we know Google are now giving away turn-by-turn navigation with Google maps I don’t think this really matches the quality you get from the established manufacturers such as Garmin.

The phone will roam on the android operating system, called with a range of applications. The handset comes with 3.5? touchscreen display, 3 megapixel camera and includes HSPA and WiFi.

At the moment it is only expected to be available on T-Mobile in the USA and is due for release in Q2 2010. I’m sure we will see older models possible or possibly even this one available in the European market soon. At present there is no pricing available.
