iPhone 3GS on Vodafone
Vodafone have launched their pre-registration page for the iPhone3GS. I decided to register so I could be kept up-to-date on when they are going to release it and have more information on pricing the contract.
If you notice in the photograph above they actually do require your name your e-mail address and phone number they want to know if you are a Vodafone customer or not and how long you have your current mobile. Obviously they want to know how long you have your current mobile because you could still be under contract but how they are going to decipher this information I’ve absolutely no idea.
The one thing that is really frustrating is that you cannot register your interest without supplying your mobile phone details. I don’t want to give them my mobile phone I’m not a Vodafone customer and why they simply cannot take registration inquiries without looking for your phone number is a little bit shortsighted. I’m sure they want to send text messages to all customers that have registered when the iPhone is released but it should not be mandatory field. Rant over…….
I decided then to give a made up number and this is what you get and a nice email as listed below.
Thanks for registering!
