PUMA Phone with Solar Panel

Posted on February 24, 2010 by admin

Puma have been synonymous with making sportswear since 1920 something or 1930 something. Anyway, they have been working with Sagem since 2009 on a license agreement to launch a mobile phone. The phone simply called PUMA has been specifically designed and launched to coincide with the World Cup in South Africa later in the year.

As you can see from the picture above it comes with a built in solar charger. The phone also comes with a 2.8-inch 240×320 capacitive touch screen, Bluetooth, 3G, aGPS, Quad-band GSM and a 3.2-megapixel camera with LED flash.

With many social networking applications also built-in as you would expect from a sports brand it also has many sporting applications including stopwatch, GPS speedo, GPS run tracker, pedometer and a yachting compass.

So far no pricing is available but we do believe that it will start to sell around April 2010 in various markets.
