Posted on February 4, 2010 by Colm

Some interesting news is going to be announced today by the Symbian Foundation as they plan to offer their Symbian OS completely free and make it an open source platform.
The Symbian Foundation which is primarily owned by Nokia has not yet these feet and made this announcement but they are expected to do so at some stage today. This is a massive step in is probably something similar to Microsoft decided to offer their Windows operating system free.
Without more information today hopefully from the announcements and what to expect from Symbian in the future.
