Nokia N97 Mini

Posted on August 27, 2009 by Colm

Introducing a new operating system and concept as major development costs and issues for mobile manufacturers. We see with the new Nokia N900 and Nokia have a new concept and ideas that we should see expanded to other phones in the future. But, these new ideas and concepts cost money and take time to get into the marketplace. Another way of getting a new idea to the market is to change an older idea and introduce it as a new idea (if that makes any sense whatsoever) you’re still with me?

So, Nokia introduces a new phone called the N97 only a few months ago now they have maybe improved this concept and are now going to introduce the N97 mini in the next few months which could be an improved version of their flagship phone which is a bit disappointing if you have gone out and paid €500 to only discover a few months later that there is a possibility that they are now going to launch an improved model.

One of the issues with the N97 is its bulky casing, which to be honest has probably put a lot of people off buying the phone because it’s so big. Depending on what region you are in it’s expected that the new phone will sell around €100 cheaper than its big brother for this they now have built in memory of 8 GB compared to 32 GB on the older model. It will come with a five megapixel Carl Zesis camera, 3.2 ” HD, Bluetooth 2.0 , wireless LAN, USB 2.0, FM RDS and I’m sure lots of other software applications that will similarly work the same as on the older 97.

So far there is no official release date for this phone in any marketplace and no pricing has been set but we expect to see more reviews over the coming months, which will hopefully show us more of the features that this has.
