O2 in the UK To Offer free Twitter SMS Texts
It seems as if O2 in the UK are now going to partner with Twitter and offer free SMS alerts. I’m not really into using Twitter but this is something you used quite regularly this could be ideal.
Apparently although messages in to you are free you will still be charged a standard network rate for sending a reply via SMS. O2 are also asking customers to not receive more than 600 messages per month.
Here’s what Antony Douglas, Head of Content at O2 in the UK had to say “We believe that mobile will soon become the most popular way of accessing social networking sites, giving real time access to tweets and status updates wherever you are. The agreements we now have in place with Twitter and the other key sites brings this a step closer, making it quick and easy for O2 customers to access their favourite social networks straight from their mobile,”
I wonder what we see this error is being introduced by O2 in Ireland?
