Nokia N97 Now available in the UK

The Nokia N97 has now gone on sale in the UK. At the moment it is only available via the Nokia stores but is expected to become available in a number retailers in one weeks time.

It should be available via Vodafone, 3, Orange, Phones 4U and T-mobile next week

The price tag and in the Nokia stores is £499 but you should be able to pick this up cheaper once it hits the network stores next week. But, you’ll need to sign up for a contract.

The New HTC Hero Android Phone

It looks like HTC will be releasing a new Android phone soon. Yesterday in London they announced the HTC Hero which will comes with with 3.2 inch display, 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7200A processor, 5 megapixel camera, quad-band GSM/EDGE, HSPA 900/2100 MHz, 512MB ROM and 288MB RAM, GPS, WiFi and microSD expansion slot.

The review review below will give you a quick overview as to some of the features that are expected to come up the phone. So far we have no release date or pricing available.

iPhone 3GS Ireland

The iPhone 3GS is set to launch in Ireland on 26th June will be available in two different versions of a 16GB and 32GB. There have been some other improvements as it now comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera which will still have the capacity of allowing you to print good quality 10×8 photographs.

The phone also comes with OS 3.0 which has made some significant improvements to features that the Phone has been lacking for quite a while which includes Copy/Paste, Turn-by-Turn Navigation, Push Notification, Notes Sync, Stereo Bluetooth, Landscape Keyboard, P2P, Subscriptions and MMS.

As we said already hit the phones expected to launch towards the end of this month but so far no pricing is available. Today (June 19th) the phones is been launched in the USA the UK and some other markets around the world. Hopefully we will get some feedback on the phone is actually like and are the improvements on the operating system that Apple have promised actually working.

I’m particularly interested in the reports on how MMS is working and the new feature of now have video. Hopefully O2 in Ireland could give us some really good pricing on this and I guess we see in the next week or so the response around the world to the new 3GS (speed) iPhone.

Update : iPhone 16GB 3G S costs €199 with the €45 per month iPhone 175 plan or €79 on the iPhone 700 contract which costs €100 a month. The 32GB model costs €299 or €169 on the same tariffs.

The iPhone OS 3.0 is now available

The iPhone OS 3.0 has now been officially released and now also supports Copy/Paste, Turn-by-Turn Navigation, Push Notification, Notes Sync, Stereo Bluetooth, Landscape Keyboard, P2P, Subscriptions and MMS. There are also some other benefits that Apple have changed which is rather nice.

OS 3.0 will also work as a modem depending on what country and what service provider you are in. The download for this can be done via iTunes and is about 230 MB in size.

The Palm Pre and the iPhone 3G

The Palm Per was launched last week in the USA and a lot has been said about its easy to use menu system. We all know that the iPhone menu system with touchscreen was a complete revolution when it was introduced to the mass market almost 2 years ago and many manufacturers since then have claiming there’s to be better.
