The Sony Ericsson Aino is expected to be available towards the end of the year. The phone has a couple of new features previously not seen before on any Sony Ericsson phones, it features something called Remote Play which will enable you to remote control and access your media content on a PlayStation 3.
If you happen to live in Italy, France, Spain, Germany or the UK you can also use this with the Play TV service on PlayStation 3 by simply using the phone. It has some interesting features that allows you to watch, pause record live TV from a range of free channels that are available via the phone.
It also supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS/HSPA 850/1900/2100 so we should expect to see this in many markets when it is released in Q4 2009. So far no pricing has been announced but as soon as we have more information of this we’ll let you know.

Nokia have finally launched their Ovi Store today in competition with Apples applications store. The unfortunate thing is that they seem to be having a number of issues. As with all types of technology and probably because has the world is trying to access this site at the same time they are experiencing high spikes of traffic which is leading to a nonperformance website.
This is thwe kind of thing that happens all the time and should have been anticipated by Nokia if you are hoping to maybe you log on and download some applications are software my advice is to give it a few days until it’s completely settled down and then try again.
The news that we now have another manufacturer in this space with a downloads store is really, yes we know Nokia are having a couple of problems but this is only temporary and I’m sure they are tech support are looking at this. Some reports are suggesting that there is no where near to 20,000 applications that Nokia said would be available at launch there are many ring tones and wallpapers for various phones available.
Over the next couple of weeks we will review this one’s the performance issues that they are having are completely resolved.

Earlier on we looked at the fake supermam phone and here we have another phone to wet your appetite this time it’s a Batman phone. One thing I actually never really noticed is that this phone is from a company called NOKLA which of course seems to be very similar to another mobile phone manufacturer who we all know.
Again this phone is only available in China who really seem to be in coming up with cool phones every day. Looking at the back of this phone I’m sure it’s not going to be easy to hold. Anyway I’m sure we won’t be seeing this over this side of the world.

I guess Nokia are starting to gear up to their advertising campaign around the N97 as they seem to be released in a few new advertisements for this at the moment. The phone is expected to be released within the next couple of months. But, not something we will see here in Ireland probably until the end of the year.

Here we have the Samsung M7600 Beat DJ which if I remember correctly we looked at a few months ago. The phone comes with a 2.8-inch AMOLED touch screen, it also has a three megapixel camera and connectivity via HSDPA.
One of the nice features to this the appeal is amplified using Bang & Olufsen, but I would really love to hear the quality of the sound on this myself. The phone also supports DivX/XviD video playback which is really starting to show where mobile smart phones are moving to in the future.
Unfortunately no pricing or availability is available at the moment.

It almost looks real !! Well unfortunately this is a 100% fake phone and not something that you will be able to call out to your local store and buy.
Most of the fake phones that you see all stem from China as there is a massive market their for this type of thing. It’s kind of interesting the types of things that are produced there and I’m sure if we are sold as legitimate products will actually have a market. I would definitely consider buying one of these but unless I’m planning a trip to China there is absolutely no chance of being able to get one.

A report in the India Times last week says that by 2012 and will be 500 million mobile phone users. At present there are 380 million people using mobile phone services and the opportunity for expansion within this area will comes from the unexploited rural market.
Over the next three years it is expected that this rural market will add the extra 120 million people to bring the level of users in India to an amazing level.
Rohit Dadwal, the Mobile Marketing Association’s Managing Director for the Asia Pacific region believes that this is a very lucrative market for mobile advertising and says that this advertising market has reached $500 billion.

It still amazes me how quickly information could find its way onto the Internet and here we have pictures allegedly of the Blackberry Storm 2. It’s believed that internally in the RIM and headquarters this phone is codenamed “Oden.”. We also believe that it will have WiFi in addition to GPS.
As you can guess very little information is available about this phone at the moment that has been a report that the device runs much smoother and faster than the current model, which we all know in the beginning had lots of software issues that would seem to be generally resolves at this stage.
Anyway I guess we will not be hearing more information from Blackberry about this phone for a few months but we will keep you posted when we get more details.

Apparently Nokia are planning to get some market share back by pushing out cheaper smartphones. It seems to be a bid to start reaching a wider range of customers because of so much competition recently they have starts to lose some of their market share.
According to lli-Pekka Kallasvuo, Nokia’s CEO ” Nokia intends to expand by offering smartphones at lower prices to reach more consumers.”
We all know in the past year or so there have been many new companies pushing to smartphones with the likes of the Android from T-Mobile, Blackberry Storm, HTC Touch Pro and not forgetting the iPhone the competition has been really tough.
We know that in recent times and Nokia have had the 5800 and the E71. But I think it’s up to them to start pushing out cheaper handsets with touchscreens as this is what the market is now looking for and Nokia need to start supplying.
