Sony Ericsson W205 Walkman
If you’re looking for an entry-level mobile phone Sony Ericsson have just announced the W205, which is designed for first-time mobile phone users. For an entry level mobile some of the specifications are quite good it comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera with 2.2x digital zoom, 1.8-inch 128×160 pixels screen, dual-band GSM/GPRS radio, Bluetooth and FM radio which should be able to pick up local radio stations once the signal is strong.
One nice feature I like is TrackID, which can identify music by letting you sample a small selection of a song you’ve been to let the software go and collect information which will then tell you the name of the song, the artist and album it appears on this information is available. This software is quite good and something recommended you should try. The phone also comes with phone books, 5MB of internal memory, which can be expanded using a Memory Stick Micro (M2) Card.
There will also be a version of the phone for the American market which will work on the 850 and 1900 MHz frequencies compared to the 900 and 1800 MHz bands that is mainly used in Europe and Asia.
Sony Ericsson also announced the availability of new portable speakers. These speakers can attach to the bottom of your phone and also helps to boost the signal of the FM radio antenna so you can get a better reception was listening to the radio. I think it basically works like and antenna booster to ensure you don’t need us to explain that.
So we expect a release date for Q3 2009 no price thing has yet been announced.
