“Pay Once” plan From T-Mobile in the UK
If you’re in the market for a new Blackberry phone and happen to live in the UK T-Mobile have just unveiled a “Pay Once” deal to entice new Blackberry business. Now you may be wondering what is this “Pay Once” all about. The idea behind this is that you pay a one-time fee of £180 and for this price you get a Blackberry Pearl 8110 and unlimited access to Internet and e-mail for one year.
Now this is the kind of thing that all network providers should be thinking about doing. You must bear in mind that this is only for Internet and e-mail access any voice calls or text messages must be paid for using a prepaid option and T-Mobile have been clear to stress this point. However this is really interesting and should push the competition in the UK market, it would be nice to see something like this happened in the Irish market I’m sure in this present economic climate and network service providers could do with some extra business.
The idea that T-Mobile has behind this is to encourage new business for their Blackberry devices. There are many people I think that will opt for this to access e-mail that previously may not have been interested in any contract but the fact that they could nail deck a prepaid plan from T-Mobile is a really nice option. Ready to go is a big market for T-Mobile in the UK and I’m sure they are well where all the added revenue and this can bring in.
