Nokia N97 Added to Vodafone’s UK Coming Soon Section
So far we are starting to see the Nokia N97 appearing on some websites. Vodafone in the UK have now added the N97 to their coming soon section and stating that it will be available in July.
So far no pricing has been published, however to expect this to be a subsidized phone depending on what contract you sign up for. We expect this price to be much lower than the €550 price tag that Nokia announced back in December when the phone was launched. I’m sure not many people would want to be paying that type of price and its signing up for a contract plan for longer than 12 months.
Apparently the phone is also on the coming soon section on Vodafone Germany’s website. And again no information is available on Vodafone Ireland’s website as usual. We should probably expect the N97 to be available sometime around November or December 2009. We are usually about six months behind the UK when it comes to the latest phones been released.
My guess also will be that the phone will be at a much-subsidized price on the origin network when they eventually release it. Again you will more than likely need to sign up for a 12 month or 18 month contract plan in order to get this at the subsidized price. We also expect the same free versions to become available Midsummer once they have started to be released on the market. The N97 is said to be so far the best Smartphone that Nokia have released and we have posted some links below to other relevant N97 posts that we have done over the past few months.
