LG Ship 20 Million QWERTY Phones Worldwide
20 million QWERTY phones worldwide that’s a hell of a lot on phones. But, that’s what LG have announced today. Their first phone was launched in 2005 on the Verizon network so realistically they have only been been selling messaging phones for two years to reach this number.
I reckon over the next couple of years at that number will quadruple as more and more people are starting to use smart phones and messaging phones. I’m not really sure either if this number incorporates any of their touchscreen device which will have a QWERTY keyboard.
Ali to do is congratulate LG on their achievement and wish them luck in reaching the 30 million mark which I’m sure will happen sooner than we all think. You can check you local store to see what LG phones are stocked and expect to see more by the end of the year as then announced a few months ago that they expect to launch 125 new phone models in 2009.
