Phone Networks Reported a Huge Leap in Text and Picture Messages
As the big freeze hit the UK yesterday mobile phone networks reported a big leap in text and picture messages. Vodofone had a 58% increase in texts to well over 30m between 7am and 9am.
Between 8:00am and 8:05am more than half a million texts were sent on the Vodafone network alone.
The network three also saw an increase in picture messaging yesterday with people taken photos and uploading to Facebook, Bebo and Blogs.
