Nokia 5310 Pink Review

Posted on December 31, 2008 by ColmNo Comments

nokia_5310_pink.jpgThe Nokia 5310 XpressMusic is Nokia’s attempt to get in on the Sony Ericsson Walkman range and to be honest it’s not a back job. The phone is a fully loaded music player with FM radio and can store up to 4GB of Songs so no issues there with space.

It’s comes with a 2 megapixel camera and Bluetooth connectivity, my wife has one of these and find the battery life OK but she’s not a heavy user. The price on this have dropped to €99 on O2 which for such a great phone is a bit of a bargain you also get a set of speakers for free.

The 2 megapixel camera lacks a flash which is a bit of a shame but during daylight it really takes a decent picture. It have no 3G but that’s not an issue for must people and EDGE should be quick. It’s come with 3 games and of course you can download more if needed.

Overall an excellent sleeky mobile and nice design.

Quick Spec

  • 2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom
  • Video camera
  • Display: Active matrix LCD, 240 x 320 pixels, 16 million colours, 2 inches
  • Music player (MP3, MP4, AAC, eAAc+, and WMA music files / OMA DRM 2.0 and Windows Media DRM)
  • Stereo FM radio with Vidual Radio support
  • Ringtones: Video ringtones, MP3 and MP4 tones, eAAC+ tones, AAC tones, WMA tones, 64-voice polyphonic MIDI, message alert tones, and alarm clock tones
  • Integrated handsfree speaker
  • Voice commands
  • Voice recorder

Sony Ericsson W910i

Posted on December 31, 2008 by ColmNo Comments

Sony-Ericsson-W910i.jpgThe Sony Ericsson W910i is a sleek slider phone measuring just 12.5mm thick. The phone has tapered bottom edge and a superslim profile, the charging and headphone port has been moved from the base of the handset to the left side which when I first looked at this was a bit strange but as it’s a Walkman phone it make so much sense when you want to listed to music and have the phone in your pocket.

The W910i come with a 2-megapixel camera, 240 x 320-pixel screen that operates in vertical or horizontal mode, FM radio RDS, Speakerphone, Flight mode, Quadband plus 3G.

Overall it’s a good music phone that comes with motion sensor features. Some reports say that the processor is a little slow, but if you don’t have a problem with this go for it.

Sony Ericsson T303 Review

Posted on December 14, 2008 by ColmNo Comments

sony-ericsson-t303.jpgThe Sony Ericsson T303 is an entry-level phone that’s nicely styled and compact. The T303 is a basic phone, but does have a very good battery life.

The phone is available from O2 at the moment for €49 but first let’s have a look at what you get for your money.

The phone is a slider and comes in at just 93g. It comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera with digital zoom. This is great for taking quick snaps in good lighting, but be aware that it has no flash so if you take picture indoor the quality may not be perfect.

With an FM radio with RDS this is ideal for music. But, as it only has limited to 8 Mbytes, with no memory card slot it will only store a couple of MP3 songs.

Overall a basic phone but some nicely designed and styled

Available from O2
