LG Cookie

Posted on October 20, 2008 by Colm1 Comment

lg-cookie.jpgThe LG Cookie or the LG KP500 as it was known a few weeks ago is supposedly going to be priced in or around 170 Euros for a touch screen phone. The phone comes with 3? 240×400px 262K colour TFT display/touchscreen, Virtual on-screen QWERTY keyboard is Quadband GSM. It will also include FM Radio, microSD memory card slot, Bluetooth, FM Radio and a few other things. Once thing it is lacking is WiFi and GPS and before I forget 3G but for under 200 euro it’s still sounds like a great phone.

iPhone Build-in Apps Load Quicker

Posted on October 9, 2008 by ColmNo Comments

iphone_mail.jpgDo you have an iPhone? have you ever had the feeling that the built-in apps load quick them any 3rd party apps?. Well apparently Apple are using a screenshot of the last known state of the application as a “splash screen” when the application next loads. So the splash screen is masking the load time of the application. It’s a bit of a trick and fools most of us I guess.
