More Apple iPhone News
The Apple iPhone store Appstore has in it’s first month brought in around $30 million in revenue. More then 60 million apps have been download (some are free) making around $1 million per day for the past 30 days.
Now if you sit back and think about this, that $360 million in the first year which apple take a 30% share. And with shortages of 3G iPhones at present this number could be bigger once Apple rollout more phones.
“Who knows, maybe it will be a $1 billion marketplace at some point in time,” said Steve Jobs in a recent interview, I think Steve Jobs could be right here.
“Phone differentiation used to be about radios and antennas and things like that,” Jobs said. “We think, going forward, the phone of the future will be differentiated by software.”
We await to see what happens but I think we’ll all agree that software in the new feature that people are looking for and I don’t think it will be long before we see this turn into a $1 billion market.
