The special RAZR 2 V9 designer edition will only be available in Taiwan so no chance of us seeing this in Ireland, but as I came across these pictures I was wondering why your woman in the picture is Motorola branded on her arm and chest…just a bit strange !

We still have to wait in Ireland for this….anyway France Telecom said the launch of Apple’s iPhone will occur in late-night openings at 12 of its Orange stores. Bordeaux, Lille, Lyons, Marseilles, Montpellier, Nancy, Nice, Nantes, Rennes, Strasbourg and Toulouse will be welcoming iPhone fans from 6:30 pm onwards.
It will charge between 49 ($72) and 119 euros a month and 399 euros for the iPhone itself. Orange is also offering iPhone at 549 euros to customers who do not wish to benefit from one of the four “Orange for iPhone” plans and at 649 euros without a plan. The cost of unlocking the handset is 100 euros during the six months following the acquisition of the iPhone, France Telecom said.
It gives us an idea of pricing as I hope it will be something similar when we finally get to see this next year.

According to the AP, a quarry worker in South Korea was found dead on Wednesday with the remnants of an LG mobile melted into his shirt pocket.
For its part, while acknowledging that one of its phones was indeed the culprit, LG reportedly claimed that dying due to such an accident was “virtually impossible.”
I have no idea if this story is true or not just that most man tend to keep their mobile in their trouser pocket so just be warned.

If your lucky to have a Nokia N95 here’s something you can do for Christmas, on your wish list put a remote control car and then run this hack. The N95 comes with a built in accelerometer sensor and two guys Andreas Jakl and Stephan Selinger have launched the ShakerRacer project, which enable a hacked RC Car to be controlled by the Nokia N95 using the sensor.
It works in a very intuitive way: just tilt your phone in the direction you want to drive. That’s it!

The Internet is great sometimes with rumours flying around the world in seconds, anyway one of the latest is that Vodafone are getting the new 3G iPhone exclusively in all its coverage areas.
According to an Italian site (morse.it) this information comes from “highly reliable sources”. We know that Apple are going to release a 3G iPhone next year but with agreements already in place with O2 and T-Mobile in the UK and Germany I can not see this happening….but then again we’ll just have to wait and see.

Samsung have released a limited edition the U600 Black/Gold, Samsung at the moment seem to have an almost constant stream of new phones (which is not a bad thing) and it’s nice to see them pushing different colours.
Not much information is available yet on the limited edition or when it’s available.

After the launch of the iPhone in the UK the Time Online have been speaking to Peter Erskine the chief executive of Telefonica’s 02.
“the iPhone has been the fastest-selling device we have ever seen.”
However Erskine declined to reveal how many iPhones it has sold, as the exclusive mobile network for the handset.
“He said early sales had been in line with its original expectations and customers had found the new handsets easy to use,” Thomson Financial reports.
In Germany T-Mobile sold around 10,000 on the first day so my guess it they could have sold around the same number.
