Since RIM’s announcement of the BlackBerry 8800 at the 3GSM conference, videos of the BlackBerry 8800 have been popping up on YouTube so what better way to look at the new Blackberry.

3GSM 2007: Toshiba G900 smartphone
The Toshiba G900 with slideout keyboard runs on Windows Mobile 6, which was just launch here at 3GSM. The new device is packed with features :
* WVGA support of 480 x 800 in portrait; 800 x 480 in landscape
* Quadband GSM with HSDPA support
* Intel PXA270 running at 300 MHz
* Mini SD slot
* Integrated Bluetooth, fingerprint sensor and 2 Megapixel camera
* 64 MB of RAM, 128 MB of ROM
As far as I’m aware this is Toshiba’s first mobile phone (correct me if I’m wrong)
Let see if this is released in Ireland (no hope) we have no news on price or network availability as yet.
3GSM 2007: Instant Messaging on your mobile
Microsoft and Vodafone have announced they are working together on an enhanced and co-branded Instant Messaging service. In bringing IM to the mobile they hope to make it a seamless service and allow chat between both the PC and mobile phone.
The service will be based on the Windows Live Messenger platform and will allow any user to access their address book and contacts on whatever platform you are using, with an indication of whether your friends are online on their PC or phone.
All sounds wonderful and will be a big step forward

“We have brought together two of the world’s largest messaging communities with a co-branded seamless PC-to-mobile Instant Messaging service. Vodafone customers will be able to communicate whenever and wherever they want, using IM and its additional service benefits, making the most of their time with mobile and PC.”
3GSM 2007 - Samsung F510 Plays DivX
I’m really not sure what the quality will be like on DivX but it kind of shows us what direction mobile phones are going in the future, the new Samsung f510 also supports the European DMB-H digital broadcast TV specifications.
As you can see from the picture it’s has a handy swivel function, allowing you to view videos while it’s propped up on a table.
Hopefully in the next few weeks we can get some better spec on this phone.
3GSM 2007 - Nokia and You Tube Team up !!
All new Nokia Nseries phone will be able to access YouTube Mobile using the built-in web browser, the announcement today at 3GSM is a nice addition to Nokia N-series phones.
“We are thrilled to be giving users easy access to entertaining YouTube videos anytime and anywhere. By partnering with an industry leader like Nokia, we’re able to bring YouTube videos to mobile phone users worldwide,” said Steve Chen, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer for YouTube.
3GSM 2007: HP iPAQ smartphone
The HP iPAQ 500 was launched at 3GSM today, the phone features VoIP, “push” email, voice-to-text recognition, and the Windows Mobile 6.0 operating system. It also has a 1.3 megapixel camera, wi-fi, Bluetooth, USB, and microSD slot.
The voice commands allow you to control many of it’s functions if you wish to use it.
Overall I see this aimed towards the business user I guess.
